The transcript below is from the video “Bruce Lee – Greatest Powerful Superhuman” by BRUTAL TV.

BRUTAL TV (An Informative and Educational MMA & Boxing Channel):

We are going to talk about about Bruce Lee and why people love him so much! The master of kung fu. Also known as Superhuman Lee.

Bruce Lee:

“My last name is Lee, Bruce Lee. I was born in San Francisco, in 1940. I’m 24 right now.”

PureBritishness from BRUTAL TV:

“Why do people love Bruce Lee so much? Why is he so famous?

Bruce Lee tragically died on July the 20th, 1973. Yet his presence continues to be felt in fields ranging from film to academia martial arts to racial equality. As a martial artist, Bruce was very fast and powerful.”

(Scene of Bruce Lee being interviewed.)

Interviewer:

“And you went to college in the United States?”

Bruce Lee:

“Yes.”

Interviewer:

“And what did you study?”

Bruce Lee:

“Uh, philosophy.”

PureBritishness from BRUTAL TV:

“He was also very smart and independent. He did not believe in styles. He came to reject them later on as impractical and ineffective. He believed that the real skill was in the simplicity, creativity, efficiency and totality of the individual.”

(Karate Championship Fight)

PureBritishness from BRUTAL TV:

“Bruce was so considered about the truth. He didn’t care about catering to one group of people. As an entertainer, he was incredible. The choreography was brutal, impressive, fast intense and so forth. He did it all by himself. Very few martial artists could do what he did. Bruce expressed anything whether it was rage, anticipation and other emotions. He made you want to be in the movie. He took his time making his fights memorable.

As a philosopher, he was full of wisdom and knowledge. He said a lot of deep stuff on truth, faith, honesty, adapting…the list goes on.”

Bruce Lee:

“I said empty your mind. Be formless. Shapeless. Like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put in a teapot; it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

(Scenes from Bruce Lee movies.)

PureBritishness from BRUTAL TV:

“As a teacher, he had a tremendous amount of knowledge. He knew how to train your mind and body. Where you should move, how you should move. His training was focused on the person.”

Bruce Lee:

“Start off…”

(Bruce Lee demonstrates a fighting style.)

PureBritishness from BRUTAL TV:

“He was one of the first to come up with the concept of full contact sparring. He also didn’t rehearse his demos like most martial artists do. They were done on the fly which is how training should be done. Unfortunately, you’ll never have another Bruce Lee again. There are lots of Bruce Lee copycats. They don’t have the same level of totality and knowledge that he did. He was one of the best martial artists of his time.”

Bruce Lee:

“Well, then baby you better train every part of your body. And when you do, punch. Now I’m leaning forward a little bit, hoping not to hurt any camera angle. I mean you gotta put the whole hip into it and snap it. And get all your energy and make this into a weapon.”
