“Welcome to BruceLeeRealFight Channel. In 1971, there was a real fight between Bruce Lee and Lau Dai Chuen, a Hong Kong Western Boxing Lightweight Champion. The fight begins when Lau Dai Chuen went to the newspaper and issued an official challenge to Bruce Lee. Initially, Bruce Lee ignored the challenge as he was busy filming his first movie in Hong Kong, The Big Boss.”

“However, the press continued to egg them out and Bruce Lee had no choice but to accept the challenge. Just like every real fight of Bruce Lee, both of them picked a place and a time. A secret bout was staged at a private villa in Hong Kong. There was about 20 persons witness his fight. According to Lam Ching Ying, one of Bruce Lee’s best friends in Hong Kong, Lau was watching Bruce Lee’s leg when the fight was about to start.”

BruceLeeRealFight (YouTube Channel):Â
“This is because Bruce Lee was well-known for his lightening kicks. Therefore, Lau was thinking to sweep Bruce’s leg before he was able to kick and attack him. However, Brue Lee intercepted Lau’s attack before he was able to sweep his leg. Bruce Lee then throws a few punches and knocks Lau down in about half a minute.  Another well-known person who mentioned this fight is Bolo Yeung. This is what Bolo Yeung said:”

Bolo Yeung (Former competitive bodybuilder, martial artist and a martial arts film actor):
“I remember hearing of a fight that took place in Hong Kong between Bruce and an individual who had challenged him repeatedly in the press. This fellow was the Asian boxing champion and had loudly protested Bruce Lee’s status in the martial arts world. Bruce ignored the comments for months but eventually decided enough was enough. He contacted a police chief in Hong Kong and said, “I will fight this guy if you can guarantee me that nobody else will know about it because I don’t want to give this guy publicity. Otherwise, this will never stop.”

Bolo Yeung (Former competitive bodybuilder, martial artist and a martial arts film actor):
“The police chief agreed and Bruce and this other martial artist were contacted as to the time and place. The boxer began by throwing out left jabs and hooks. Bruce, having studied boxing himself for many years, slipped all the punches with simple bobs and weaves. Suddenly, one of his lightening kicks flew up and caught the adversary flush on the forehead, splitting it open and knocking him down and out. The whole bout lasted less than 30 seconds. “

“Bruce then pulled out his check book and wrote a check out in the fallen boxer’s name in order to pay the hospital expenses necessary to stitch the man back up. Apparently, the police chief didn’t keep the secret very private and soon word of Bruce Lee’s encounter reached me while I was on the set of Enter the Dragon. I asked Bruce if the encounter was true. Bruce nodded grimly in the affirmative and told me, “Keep it to yourself.””

“In 1973, Lau Dai Chuen attended Bruce Lee’s funeral in Hong Kong to pay his respect to master Lee and here’s the one and only interview of Lau Dai Chuen on Bruce Lee.”
Lau Dai Chuen (Actor, martial artist, Hong Kong Western Boxing Lightweight Champion):
“The way I see it, is you can say it’s a kind of a big loss for the Chinese Martial Arts world. I mean, Bruce Lee was… when he was alive, was able to bring to foreigners, not only talking about our Hong Kong… for so many years, introducing so many of our Chinese Martial Arts out there. Since then, has left quite a big impact. This morning, I saw the report that said Mr. Bruce Lee that he passed away with this sudden, unexpected news. In my heart, I felt that it was very like…unfortunate, you know.”
