So how fast was Bruce Lee?
In the early 70s when Bruce Lee went back to Hong Kong to play a role in the 1971 The Big Boss, his moves were too fast and the cameras couldn’t catch his movements on film. The director Lo Wei told Bruce Lee to slow down for the cameras to catch his fists and kicks.

BruceLeeRealFight:
In 1973, when Bruce Lee film Enter the Dragon, the producer said he had to redo scenes because his kicks were too fast for the cameras. His kicks were too fast that they made the shot look fake. It looked like his opponents simply fell over for no reason. So, directors on the set had to reshoot the scene in slow motion at 32 frames per second instead of 24 frames per second.

BruceLeeRealFight:
With amazing advancements taking place every year, even we use the software we are having today or programs to watch Bruce Lee’s kicks and fists in slow motion, we still couldn’t keep up with Bruce Lee. When Bruce Lee was at a distance of 2-3 feet away, he could react and punch in less than a second. This is why he is still widely regarded as the fastest martial artist in the world then and now. Now, take a look at these videos. You will be blown away how incredibly fast Bruce Lee was.
