If you have seen videos of Shaolin monks doing incredible feats of superhuman endurance then you know just how insane the things they do are. These monks aren’t just known for their meditation or green tea. Shaolin monks can do incredible acts of strength that are considered impossible to achieve. Shaolin monks are capable of doing absolutely crazy things with their bodies. Shaolin monks can break concrete, wood, and even metal rods with any part of their body. They can penetrate glass with a needle by throwing it like a dart. They can balance themselves on their fingers and also run fast enough to walk on water. It is mind-boggling that what feats of superhuman ability these monks have.

If you are wondering how these monks achieve such outrageous stunts without cracking a bone, it’s all thanks to years of dedication and intense endurance training. It has also to do with their strong mentality and devotion to the philosophies of constantly pushing themselves to surpass any limit. This is certainly something that will help anyone to stay focused on their routine through deep meditation and rigorous breathing exercises. Some monks are able to withstand unbelievable conditions like staying alive in a pot of boiling oil and even literal shots to the groin. Of course, you are not here to see that. What you want to know is how these humble simple monks can accomplish such extraordinary feats of strength.

Well, there are many practices that a Shaolin monk must adopt before becoming a master. They must devote their mind, body, and years of lives in order to have this insane amount of endurance that we have come to know them for. They start training from a very young age in order to develop their skills and discipline themselves in order to take on their strongest form.

Then they instantly transition to doing push-ups on them to progress their strength training and also while increasing their endurance. Although you can find mentions of Qi throughout Chinese culture, the Shaolin monks know it as a concentration of energy. It’s this concentration of energy that lets Shaolin monks dip into their spiritual potential, letting them harness their inner strength which is why they can perform such courageously. It is this form of inner strength and courage that Shaolin monks seek to enhance with relentless meditation and devotion to one’s discipline. This is something we all can learn from stoic Shaolin monks.
