Allow me to question this one lie someone said about: Bruce Lee

Vic Moore (USKA World Karate Champion):

“Ed Park was on a National Tournament out in California on 1967 we put on those Speed Drill contest, he wanted to challenge some of the national champions. Doctor Trias insisted that I go up there and demonstrate with. And show him real Karate over his Jeet Kune Do.

Interviewer:

“Right”

Vic Moore (USKA World Karate Champion):

“And he was to come in on me and scored three or four punches to the chest. He come in and he tried to score and I blocked it. He came in again, I blocked the third one. I kinda glanced off and he flashed at my face [laughs] and I laughed and said what on the world was that?

Interviewer:

“Alright”

Vic Moore (USKA World Karate Champion):

“And I said, okay now you stop mine. And I came in and tagged him in the chest, came back again and tagged him on the chest. He blocked the third and by that time the crowed was standing and [wooh and oh and all]. “

Interviewer:

“Sure”

Vic Moore (USKA World Karate Champion):

“He was a little embarrassed I would imagine. Afterwards he told me that I was the fastest American that he ever seen. I believe any of us National champions have the same speed and techniques. Afterwards we talked and shake hands and we did a little sparring and roundouring. And he’s saying that our sure way Karate was superior. I was pretty sure.  And I could score on him just about any time.”

Interviewer:

Really?!

Narrator:

OMG, did I miss something?

Yes! The USKA World Karate Champion Vic Moore blocked Bruce’s punch and ended up laughing like this:

The definition of blocking a punch is: letting someone else to hit you first.
