The transcript below is from the video “Michael Jai White on Steven Seagal Saying He’s No Tough Guy, Seagal’s Antisemitic Remarks (Part 7)” by djvlad.

DJ Vlad YouTube Channel:
In this clip, DJ Vlad shares a quote from iconic action film star Steven Seagal on whether or not he believed that Micheal Jai White is a tough guy. When DJ Vlad reveals that Steven Seagal’s words were less than flattering, Michael responds by saying that he felt that his “Exit Wounds” co-star embarrassed himself because he previously hired him on three separate occasions due to his experience in martial arts. The 55-year-old goes on to reveal that Seagal actually apologized to him, face-to-face, during an encounter in Thailand. Towards the end of the interview, Michael indicates that Seagal said some racially charged words concerning the Jewish community during their encounter in Thailand.
DJ Vlad:
You mentioned Steven Seagal, one of my YouTube members, Pedro Ramirez, he actually referred to an interview to Steven Seagal did where you got mentioned.
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
Oh…

DJ Vlad:
I never watched this until this morning. So I guess interviewers said… he asked Steven if he thought that Michael Jai White is a tough guy. Steven’s response was, can I laugh in your face? Do I think Michael Jai White is a tough guy? No. Do I think he’s a martial artist? No. What’d you think when you saw that?
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
I felt like Steven embarrassed himself because, I mean, Steven hired me three different times himself. Why? If I’m not a good martial artist. And then you know, he hired me for the [inaudible] soup ads for Japan and I was a choreographer and everything else. He hired me for Deadly Ground, which is a movie he directed, right? I mean, personally offered me a role that I didn’t really take because I thought it was silly. And then of course I’m in the movie with him in Exit Wounds.

Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
I never had really anything against them other than, you know, famously I talked about what he does with you know with the stunt guys. But it’s ironic that Steven would not call me a martial artist because I mean it’s like, well, when you think of martial arts, you think of being healthy, humble, you know, respectful, you know, disciplined all that. All of that stuff that all has Steven Seagal written all over it, does it? That’s a healthy, humble, respectful guy, would you think? No, I don’t think anybody would say that. So it’s ironic that he would say that but he apologized to me face to face in Thailand when we ran into each other.

DJ Vlad:
Oh, how long ago was this?
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
Oh, when I was shooting Triple Threat.

DJ Vlad:
Which is what year? I don’t know, that was recently, though a few years ago, right?
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
Yes, quite a few years ago. Yeah. But he said that basically that it was because of Michael Schiavello who was the interviewer and he said some pretty derogatory things.

DJ Vlad:
Wait, he’s gonna blame the interviewer on trash talking? People always blame me for this sh*t. Come on, really? I made you say all?
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
I won’t even… he knows if he ever looks at his interview if I said what he said, that would cause him a lot of problems with you know with a group that he is a part of, that’s, you know, he said some very anti-semitic things.

DJ Vlad:
Really?
Michael Jai White (Actor, Director & Martial Artist):
Yes. He knows what he said.
